Visits to the Castle are available from March 1st to 3oth September
Attention: Hunterston Castle maintenance work
Hunterston Castle is currently undergoing some much-needed maintenance work. This is taking place on the outside of the castle and scaffolding is in place for the purpose. This will not affect the entrance to the castle and guided tours are expected to go ahead as usual.
Some areas outside the castle may be temporarily restricted for visitors while maintenance work is ongoing. We apologise for this and thank you in advance for your understanding.
During your visit, please be guided by our tour guides who will update you on the latest information regarding the maintenance work.
Book a visit to Hunterston Castle
Due to the antiquity of the Castle all tours must be supervised and an appointment must be made by booking online below. Guided tours for visitors are available all year round. Opening times may be subject to change
Single Rates:
Adults: £20.00 per person
Children: 10 years and under go free
A View from Above of the Walled Garden
Group Rates:
Adults: £15.00 per person (maximum of 8 people either adults or children of 11 years and over)
Family: £16.25 per person (minimum 4 people and a maximum of 8 people, either adults or children of 11 years and over)

Cancellation
After you book a visit to the Castle, when a booking is cancelled 7 or more days in advance of the booking date a full refund will be made. However cancellations less than 7 days prior to the the time you book a visit will not be refunded. Please get in contact with us to cancel a booking.
